Mujahid underlines worth of positive interaction between Afghanistan, international community

KABUL (SW) – Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, has underlined the worth of positive interaction between Afghanistan and the international community.

Earlier, Thomas West, the US special representative for Afghanistan, by publishing details of the recent Doha meeting on Afghanistan, announced that in this meeting there was a strong global consensus on ears about the re-emergence of terrorist threats from Afghanistan, the need for return of women and girls to education and the provision of humanitarian economic aid.

West, in the series of statements that he shared on his X user account, said that the United States proposed the preparation of a road map for the full integration of Afghanistan in the international community at the Doha meeting.

A part of Thomas West’s statement in this regard says: “The United States welcomes the continuation of this format [Doha meeting] and also calls for a UN-led process to provide a roadmap for Afghanistan’s full integration into the international system. The welfare of the Afghan people and the common interests of the international community should guide this work.”

Zabihullah Mujahid, welcomed the integration plan of Afghanistan in the international community and told Salam Watandar that the world’s interaction with Afghanistan is a necessity and the world should work in this direction without making special conditions or making excuses. Mujahid emphasized that if Afghanistan is present like other countries in the international community, the interests of all countries will be secured in a reasonable way.

He adds: “It is a need for Afghanistan to be present in international interactions like other countries and to have similar interactions. Special conditions should not be placed for Afghanistan. Movements and conditions should not be imposed and efforts should not be made to face problems and make various excuses. We ask all countries, including America, to come to Afghanistan for normal interaction.”

Some experts believe that the reintegration of Afghanistan into the international community requires the implementation of a series of prerequisites such as the provision of human rights, especially the right to education for girls, and the formation of an inclusive government.

Wali Forozan, an expert on international relations, says: “Mr. Tom West’s proposal about integrating Afghanistan into the international community is a very good thing. Besides this, he has raised other very important and reasonable issues such as women’s rights and the right to education. All these are important issues.”

Although more than two years have passed since the Islamic Emirate got reestablished in Afghanistan, a constructive understanding has not yet been formed between the international community and the de-facto government, and Afghanistan is still in political isolation.
