KABUL (SW) – The Embassy of Japan in Afghanistan has announced that the government of this country will donate 58.4 million dollars to Afghanistan.
This embassy has issued a statement on Monday, December 4, on its “X” account regarding this matter.
“Pleased to announce that Japan government has decided additional 58.4 million USD assistance for Afghanistan to ensure providing humanitarian and basic needs assistance. We hope this assistance will help sustain and improve lives of Afghan people with dignity and self-reliance.”
The Embassy of Japan in Kabul, added that they will deliver the assistance through partners such as United Nations agencies, international organizations and Japanese non-governmental Organization (NGOs).
“With the upcoming 58.4 M USD, the cumulative Japanese contributions to AFG since August 2021 will amount to 447 M USD.”
It should be mentioned that The German Embassy in Kabul, has also said that will donate 60 million euros of funding to the United Nations World Food Program to provide aids in Afghanistan and its neighboring countries.
The German embassy wrote on its “X” account on Thursday, November 30, that this amount of funds will strengthen humanitarian responses and aid to earthquake victims in Herat and returnees at the Pakistan border.
