KABUL (SW) – The German Embassy in Kabul, which is currently located in Berlin and Doha, has donated 60 million euros for Afghanistan and its neighboring countries.
This embassy has announced that Germany will provide 60 million euros of funding to the United Nations World Food Program to provide aids in mentioned countries.
The German embassy wrote on its “X” account on Thursday, November 30, that this amount of funds will strengthen humanitarian responses and aid to earthquake victims in Herat and returnees at the Pakistan border.
It should be mentioned that 10 days ago, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Afghanistan, announced that Germany had donated five million euros to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.
This is while that the aid operations in Afghanistan is currently facing a lack of funds and with the recent deadly earthquakes in Herat and the expulsion of Afghan immigrants from Pakistan, the humanitarian situation has worsened.
