Four million mothers and children in Afghanistan struggling with malnutrition

KABUL (SW) – The World Food Program (WFP) says that four million mothers and children in Afghanistan are suffering from malnutrition.

“In Afghanistan, 4 million mothers and children are malnourished.”

The WFP underscores that this significant number of mothers and children are in need of assistance.

On Sunday, December 24, the World Food Program expressed gratitude to its financial donors and urged them to persist in their support for the prevention and treatment of malnutrition throughout Afghanistan.

Earlier, officials from the Ministry of Public Health informed Salam Watandar that there are currently 3,200 health centers operating across the country, providing access to treatment services for malnourished patients.
