Authorities confirm casualties following a suicide attack in Baghlan

KABUL (SW) – Security officials of Baghlan have confirmed that as a result of yesterday’s suicide attack at the “Imam Zaman” mosque in the city of Pul Khumri, the capital of this province, seven people have died and 15 people have been injured.

The media department of the Baghlan Security Command has sent a newsletter to Salam Watandar and said that a suicide attack took place in the “Imam Zaman” mosque in Pul Khomri city, during the Friday prayer.

According to the news, the security forces have gone to the place of the incident and investigations are ongoing.

So far, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for this suicide attack.

Earlier, the health officials in Baghlan had told Salam Watandar that some of the dead and wounded of this suicide attack have been transferred to the hospitals of this province.

The images of this suicide attack on social networks show that the explosion was powerful and deadly.
