Youth in Khost organise book exhibition

KHOST CITY (SW) – In Khost, a number of young people have organised a book exhibition called “Rana Nandara” which will continue for three days.

This exhibition was held in the “Babarkhan Chali” area of Khost center on Wednesday.

One of the organizers of this exhibition, Ibrahim Iman, told Salam Watandar that about 10,000 books were displayed in the exhibition and according to him, the purpose of the exhibition was to encourage young people to study.

He added that recently the tradition of studying has been established and he wants to promote this tradition by making this exhibition. According to him, in the future, in addition to Khost, similar book exhibitions will be held in other provinces.

He said: “We brought about 10,000 books to Babrak Khan Minar of Khost. The purpose of bringing these books to us is to make learning a tradition and deliver a book to every Afghan’s home. Recently, there were increasing concerns that young people are not studying and are tired, so we decided that we will go to every province of Afghanistan, we will organize exhibitions there, we will bring young people to read books.”

On the other hand, a number of people who visited this exhibition also say that such exhibitions are very useful for the youth.

A visitor to this exhibition Adel told Salam Watandar that studying online has made young people reluctant to read books. He added that reading books is good because studying online can cause some problems to human health.
