Sar-e-Pul’s Ring of King attracts thousands of tourists

SAR-E-PUL (SW) – The “Angust-e-Shah” or Ring of King is a natural attraction spot that hosts thousands of domestic tourists in Sar-e-Pul province on regular basis.

Local say the road to this spot is damaged and the lack of facilities are among the challenges that tourists face. It is located in the village of “Shabukand”, eight kilometers from the center of Sancharak district. It hosts many domestic tourists who come from different provinces.

A number of domestic tourists say that it is one of the natural attractions in Sancharak district and the existence of waterfalls and springs add to the beauty of this recreational and sightseeing place.

Abdul Hamid, a resident of Balkh who has traveled all the way here, says that the waterfalls are one of the most popular natural attractions that he has never seen in the country before. According to him, the breakdown of the road, lack of electricity, clinics and restaurants are some of the challenges that the Islamic Emirate should try to address.

Basmullah, one of the residents of Jawzjan, who came with a number of his friends to see this natural attraction, said that the damage to the road and the lack of facilities make people suffer. He said the waterfalls that roar from the heart of the stones make the heart of every person happy and calm.

According to him, if better facilities and more advanced equipment are provided here, the number of visits to this natural attraction will increase from 500 to 2000 people per day.

In the meantime, the officials of the local information and culture directorate say that they have discussed all the challenges with the government and it will be dealt with soon.

Fakhruddin Omir Sarpoli, head of information and culture department, said that the number of domestic tourists has increased significantly in the last month. He added that efforts are currently being made to rebuild the road and provide more facilities.

Based on the information of the officials, in the last five days, 10 thousand domestic tourists visited the area, which is one of the most visited natural attractions in the north of the country.
