Deal signed to simplify affairs at MAIL

KABUL (SW) – The Department of Administrative Reforms and Civil Services of the General Directorate of Public Affairs has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock aimed at simplifying the administrative processes of this ministry.

Officials of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Civil Services of the General Directorate of Public Affairs say that it has simplified 366 work processes in four ministries last year and is going to simplify the work processes of three other ministries by the end of the current year.

Abdul Hanan Arifullah, head of the Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Department, said: “In the last 13 years, 176 processes have been simplified, and from year 1401 to 1402, 304 processes have been simplified. While the facilities from that time until now differ from the earth to the sky, but we ensure that our employees work honestly. We want them to be more honest in their work.”

On the other hand, Attaullah Omari, Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, considered the signing of this memorandum as effective in clarifying and providing easy services to citizens.

Acting Minister of Agriculture said: “Simplification and reforms are necessary in our ministry in different departments. If we do not correct these parts, corruption will come. The signing of this memorandum will help the Ministry of Agriculture in various sectors. We welcome this.”

At the same time, Baryalay Abdali, the head of simplifying civil service administrative processes, said that creating convenience for clients, improving the supply of services and eliminating administrative corruption in the offices are among the goals of signing these memorandums.

He added: “When simplification is implemented in its true form, we will no longer have corruption and paperwork in our offices. We don’t have the expenses of a person coming from the province to the center to do his work, staying in a hotel and spending money.”

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Civil Services has stated that it plans to simplify all government offices, but has prioritized the offices that had more visitors and provided a part of the government’s income.
