Explosives confiscated at Torkham crossing form Pakistan

KABUL (SW) – Officials at Torkham Customs say that they have confiscated at least 487 kg of explosives being transported from Pakistan to Afghanistan.

According to the officials, the explosives, which were placed in 39 bags in a truck, were discovered and seized by the customs staff.

The officials of Torkham Customs mentioned the nature of the seized explosives as “sweet gunpowder” and according to them, they have arrested the driver and a commissioner in connection with it.

Officials also said that Shamsullah Amin, a company that sends goods and property from Pakistan to Afghanistan, placed these explosives in a Mazda car.
