Abdullah holds telephonic conversation with the US envoy

KABUL (SW) – Abdullah Abdullah, the head of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council of the previous government, has had a telephone conversation with Thomas West, the United States’ special representative for Afghanistan.

In a statement posted on his social media, it is stated that at the beginning, Abdullah Abdullah expressed his gratitude for the continued humanitarian assistance of the United States of America to the people of Afghanistan.

According to the newsletter, the two sides called the reopening of girls’ schools above the sixth grade as the necessity and desire of the Afghan people and emphasized that in order to solve the existing problems and ensure national stability in the country, a real intra-Afghan national dialogue that strengthens national unity and partnership is needed.

Mr. Abdullah wrote that recently, Thomas West has assured his country’s continued support to the people of Afghanistan.

It should be mentioned that Thomas West had a phone conversation with Hamid Karzai, the former president of the country, a few days ago.

In this telephone conversation, both sides emphasized the immediate reopening of girls’ schools above the sixth grade for Afghanistan’s progress.
