Mahdi Mujahid killed near the Iranian border

KABUL (SW) – The Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday by broadcasting a newsletter that the border forces of the Islamic Emirate killed Mahdi Mujahid in one of the border areas of Herat Province near Iran.

Mehdi Mujahid, known as Maulvi Mehdi, was the former commander of the Hazara fighters of the Islamic Emirate.

The Islamic Emirate has called him a “traitor”.

The Ministry of Defense has said that Mujahid fled from Balkhab district of Sarpul province to the mountains with some of his companions and he was planning to escape to Iran in the past few days.

According to the news report, border intelligence forces of the Islamic Emirate have identified and killed Maulvi Mahdi in one of the border areas between Herat province and Iran.

Mahdi Mujahid’s supporters have not said anything about this so far.
