Islamic Emirate authorities hold meeting with Iranian officials

MONITORING (SW) – Authorities of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and Iran have held a meeting following the exchange of fir at the border a day earlier.

Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the special representative of the Iranian government for Afghanistan, wrote on his Twitter today that after yesterday’s incident, a meeting was held with the presence of the representative of Iran and the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

According to the Iranian government’s special representative for Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Emirate called its border forces to stop the conflict.

An exchange of fire took place between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan forces and the Iranian a day earlier.

Credible security and local sources in Nimroz told Salam Watandar that the conflict between the forces of the Islamic Emirate and the Iranian border guards in “Darwishok” area of ​​Kong district of this province broke out on Sunday afternoon.

According to these sources, the conflict in this area is currently ongoing and the forces of the Islamic Emirate have been sent from the center of Nimroz to the conflict site.
