ASSAD ABAD (SW) – Local sources in Kunar told Salam Watandar that unknown armed men assassinated Mohammad Israel, one of the religious scholars of this province, last night.
According to the sources, this incident happened in “Khas Kunnar” district of this province.
Sources add that Muhammad Isra’il was also one of the elders of the local community.
The reason for the assassination of this religious scholar has not yet been determined.
The local authorities of Kunar have not said anything about this so far.
It should be remembered that similar incidents have occurred in different parts of the country before as well.
