International community urged to interact with the Islamic Emirate

KHOST (SW) – A top Islamic Emirate official has urged the international community to recognize its rule over Afghanistan for the sake of greater interaction.

Sirajuddin Haqqani, Acting Minister of Interior Affairs, during his visit to Khost province yesterday, during a speech in Sabri district of this province, said that the Islamic Emirate wants political and economic relations with the international community. He has once again asked for a positive and legitimate interaction with the international community.

A number of political experts in the conversation with Salam Watandar dubbed Sirajuddin Haqqani’s words as contrary to the demands of the international community.

Ahmad Khan Ander, expert on political issues, said the recent statements of the Acting Minister of Interior Affairs of the Islamic Emirate are in contradiction with the international laws and the United Nations Charter and the demands of the international community regarding human rights, especially women’s rights in Afghanistan.

Hikmatullah Hekmat, another expert on political issues, said Afghanistan must accept the legitimate conditions of the international community in order for the international community to accept Afghanistan as a member.

More than 11 months have passed since the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan, but the leaders of the Islamic Emirate have not yet been able to convince the international community and their political opponents about their governance style.
