Flash floods in Ghazni and Nuristan kill 14 people

GHAZNI (SW) – Flash floods in Ghazni and Nuristan killed 14 people and left 11 injured, reported Bakhtar state news agency.

It took to the Twitter, quoting the local officials of Ghazni and Nuristan, saying that 14 people died and 11 others were injured due to floods in these two provinces.

According to Bakhtar’s report, 5 members of a family died and 2 others were injured due to floods last night in the center of Ghazni province. Habibullah Mujahid, the head of information and culture of Ghazni, told Bakhtar News Agency that besides the casualties as a result of these floods, dozens of residential houses were also destroyed.

Meanwhile, Bakhtar has written that 9 people died and 9 others were injured due to floods in Wama district of Nuristan.

This news agency quoted the local officials of Nuristan and wrote that in addition to the casualties, these floods have also left huge financial losses and the “Korder” bridge, which connects the provinces of Kunar and Nuristan, has been completely destroyed as a result of these floods.
