Four of a family killed by unknown gunmen in Logar

PUL-E-ALAM (SW) – Unidentified gunmen killed four members of a family in Logar province overnight, confirmed officials. 

Residents of the capital, Pul-e-Alam, say unidentified gunmen stormed a bakery at around 1:30 a.m. in Pul-e-Alam, killing four people.

An eyewitness, Mohammad Javed, told Salam Watandar that three brothers were killed on the spot and a bakery worker died on the way to the hospital.

He added that the dead were members of a family and residents of Khoshi district of Logar province.

Meanwhile, Siddiqullah, another resident of Pul-e-Alam, said the gunmen were two men and opened fire on people in a bakery, killing three brothers and a cousin.

He added that those killed had no personal enmity with anyone and belonged to the Shiite community.

Rafiullah Samim, Logar’s director of information and culture, confirmed the incident to Salam Watandar. He said that an investigation into the incident was underway and the details would be shared with the media later.
