Armed feuds in Helmand kill two people

LASHKARGAH (SW) – Local officials in Helmand say separate clashes among residents of Marjah, Nad Ali and Babaji districts of the province left at least two people killed and seven other injured.

Mohammad Qasim Riyaz, director of information at the Helmand Department of Information and Culture, said that two people were injured in Marjah district and then one of them was killed.

Another person was seriously injured in a clash between several people in the Levi Manda area of ​​Babaji district. According to the information director of the Helmand Department of Information and Culture, in the “Nakilo” area of ​​Nawa district, one of the injured died in a hospital after a fight between two brothers.

Similarly, five people were injured in separate incidents in Babaji district of Mohammadabad and Lavi Bagh area of Nad Ali district. Mohammad Qasim Riyaz said three people have been arrested in connection with the incidents.

According to reports, such clashes between civilians have increased in recent days in a number of provinces, especially Helmand.
