Government employees directed to grow beard, wear cap

MONITORING (SW) – The Islamic Emirate’s Ministry of Enjoining the Good and Forbidding the Evil has confirmed that last month it sent a letter to all government departments asking officials there to grow beards and wear skull caps.

Mohammad Sadeq Akef, a spokesman for the Islamic Emirate’s Ministry of Enjoining the Good and Forbidding the Evil, told Salam Watandar that although the ministry had given government officials a month to prepare their clothing and appearance in accordance with Islamic law; But they did not follow it.

According to the spokesman of the Ministry, yesterday the employees of this ministry asked the employees of the government departments to follow this directive. He added: “A month ago, the Ministry of Enjoining the Good and Forbidding the Evil sent a letter to all government departments stating that every woman who comes to the offices must wear the hijab and that men must have their outlook and manners in accordance with the Shari’a.” . »

Meanwhile, a number of government employees claim that yesterday the employees of the Ministry of Enjoining the Good and Forbidding the Evil did not allow people without beards and hats to enter their respective offices.

“Those who wanted to enter the office without beard or hats were not allowed to do so, saying that it was approved by the cabinet and that government employees should not enter the office without hats or beard,” said Siddiq Akrami, a government official.

“We were told that you could not come into the ministry with a shaved beard and that you had to comply with the rules,” Noor Agha, another government official, told Salam Watandar.

On the other hand, rumors about the closure of schools and other academic institutions for female students during the holy month of Ramadan are spreading on social networks, but the Islamic Emirate rejects it.
