“The issue of women is important and our mothers and sisters are an important element of our society and they must work within the framework of Islam in all sectors and there is no discrimination… There is a great need for the presence and activity of women in society.”

Zabihullah Mujahid added that the media should not publish against Islamic principles and values, maintain neutrality and have sound criticism. He emphasizes that national values are important to the people of Afghanistan and that the media should not publish contrary to these values. “In the Islamic context, all media outlets are free. The media must be neutral”, he said.

However, referring to the security situation in Kabul, Mujahed added all residents of Kabul should be sure that their security is 100% guaranteed.

The Taliban spokesman stressed that the country’s economic infrastructure needed to be strengthened, and that the group was taking serious steps to capitalize on economic resources. According to him, in a short time, positive changes will take place in the country’s economy and trade.

Mujahid said that the countries of the world and neighboring countries are assured that they will not be harmed from the territory of Afghanistan.

“In terms of the security of the translators and all the others who have worked with the ‘invading forces’, all those who were in the military are now ‘forgiven’, and I assure you that no one will go to their home,” he added.

He mentioned the Taliban leadership has ordered that no one be prosecuted in Kabul.

Mujahed stressed that everyone was forgiven and that this would contribute to peace. “If anyone is injured during the war, it is the consequences of the war.”
