Fire erupts at Covid-19 clinic in Ghor

GHOR (SW) – Fire brook out at the dedicated health facility for Covid-19 patients in Ghor province last evening.

Head of the hospital, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Yagana said the fire first erupted at the kitchen and quickly spread all over. He added at least ten administrative offices of the facility completely burned down. He added only a couple PCR devices could be saved while rest of the equipment in administrative compound has been damaged.

According to the local officials in Ghor, the fire has inflicted severe financial losses to the health center. The reasons for the fire eruption are not known yet.

At least five Covid-19 patients were staying at the facility when the fire erupted. It took the locals and fire department hours to put off the fire.

The 20-bed facility is located in Ferozkoh, capital of Ghor city.
