KABUL (SW) – Latest figures by the Ministry of Public Health confirmed at least 211 new cases and four deaths associated with the coronavirus in the past 24 hours.
The MoPH said that 1,442 patients suspected of having a corona were tested in this period. It said 26 patients suffering from the Covid-19 infections got recovered.
Statistics from the Ministry of Public Health showed that since the beginning of the spread of the virus, 49,484 people across the country have been infected with the virus and 1,975 people have lost their lives as a result of the infection.
As many as 38,410 people have recovered after getting infected since its onset. According to the official figures, 170,855 people have undergone Covid-19 tests so far.
This comes as the U.S. Russia and the U.K. have begun vaccinations to safeguard against the virus.
