The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Afghanistan plans to establish 75 solar-powered greenhouses in the country.
In a post on X on Thursday (Oct. 29), the agency said the greenhouses would support livelihoods in five provinces as part of the second phase of the REVIVE II project.
According to UNDP, the greenhouses aim to support vulnerable communities with sustainable agricultural, income generation, and resilience.
On Monday, UNDP said it would implement the second phase of the REVIVE II project in Kabul, Paktia, Ghazni, Nangarhar, and Kunar provinces.
