A grand cultural gathering was held in Kabul to honor the enduring legacy of two prominent historical and literary figures, Amir Ali-Shir Nava’i and Zahir-ud-Din Muhammad Babur.
The event brought together poets, writers, linguists, and culture-loving youths, along with representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kabul and guests who had traveled from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan.
They assembled to celebrate the birthday anniversaries of the great poet and master of words, Amir Ali-Shir Nava’i, and the founder of the Baburid dynasty, the king and poet Zahir-ud-Din Muhammad Babur, in a dignified and vibrant ceremony.

During the gathering, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Afghanistan, Oybek Usmanov, delivered a speech in which he stated that Amir Ali-Shir Nava’i and Zahir-ud-Din Muhammad Babur are regarded as a shared cultural heritage not only by Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, but also by other Central Asian countries, including Pakistan and India.

Several other speakers highlighted that these two prominent historical figures played a vital role in the development of a great civilization and left behind a lasting and invaluable legacy. They also emphasized the importance of their enduring literary and scholarly works and stressed the need for thorough study and comprehensive research to better understand their contributions.
The ceremony was organized with the cooperation of Aydin Faryab Private High School and cultural activists in Kabul.
