The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Office-Afghanistan announced on X that foreign investors can now obtain residence for 1 to 10 years, based on their investment level.
The decision was approved at an Economic Commission meeting chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.
Since regaining power, the Islamic Emirate has been focusing on attracting foreign investment, countries like China, India, Iran, Uzbekistan, and Russia have shown interest in investing in Afghanistan.
In September of this year, a five-year tax exemption for investors in cold storage facilities was also announced.
