AYBAK CITY (SW) – A traffic accident in the Khulm district of Samangan province has resulted in three deaths and six injuries.
According to Hashmatullah Rahmani, spokesperson for the Samangan Security Command, the incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, when a “Pasu” vehicle veered off the road and overturned in the Cheshma-e Hayat area of Khulm.
Rahmani said that three of the vehicle’s occupants were killed, and six others sustained injuries.
The injured individuals have been transported to Khulm Hospital for treatment.
The Samangan Traffic Department has reported that the accident was caused by the driver’s negligence.
Factors such as non-compliance with traffic regulations, poor road conditions, and excessive speeding are major contributors to traffic accidents in Afghanistan.
