Baghlan traffic accident leaves four dead including district security commander

POL-E KHOMRI (SW) – Four individuals have lost their lives in a traffic incident in the Baghlan province, including the district security commander of Central Baghlan.

The media office of Baghlan’s security command announced the incident occurred on Saturday night at the “Polchak Ghulam Sediq” area of Central Baghlan district when the vehicle carrying the district security commander and his companions veered off the road and overturned.

Traffic incidents have been on the rise in Afghanistan in recent months.

According to the latest statistics from the Traffic Directorate of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, over the past three months alone, 1,265 traffic accidents have occurred across Afghanistan, resulting in 562 fatalities and 792 injuries.
