Afghanistan sees $19 mln increase in exports in one month

KABUL (SW) – According to the National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA), Afghanistan has experienced a notable increase in exports in one month, amounting to $114.6 million, while imports stood at $950.5 million.

On Thursday, in a newsletter posted on its official X account, the authority reported that Afghanistan’s export value during the period –April 20 to May 20– reached $95.6 million, with imports valued at $650 million.

The NSIA further added that Afghanistan’s exports in this period saw a $19 million rise compared to the previous month, while imports decreased by $300.5 million.

Based on information provided by the authority, the majority of Afghanistan’s exports were to Pakistan, Iran, India, and the United Arab Emirates. Meanwhile, the highest imports originated from Iran, China, and Pakistan.
