KABUL (SW) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the former Afghan consul general in Mashhad city, Iran, Abdul Jaber Ansar, has been dismissed from his post.
The spokesperson of the ministry, Abdul Qahar Balkhi, wrote on his official X account that Abdul Jaber Ansar was summoned to Kabul based on the decision of the Prime Minister’s office to dismiss him.
Balkhi had earlier stated that the CG’s Jaber was sacked in May 26, and his signature has no longer been valid.
He added that Abdul Jaber Ansar was dismissed last week due to doing illegal things, being irresponsible in the financial affairs of the consulate.
Abdul Qahar Balkhi wrote: “After completing his duties, Mr. Ansar has indirectly interfered in the revenue collection and administrative affairs by irresponsibly interfering with illegal actions. For clients, merchants, and Afghan citizens, he has affected the service delivery process of the consulate, but after this, the signature of the former consul general is not valid.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that with the appointment of the new consul general at the embassy and other diplomas, the consulate-related affairs, are in full swing.
