Kapisa innovators take flight: Students build drone with personal funds

MAHMUD-E RAQI CITY (SW) – Two residents of Kapisa province, located in the northeast of Afghanistan, have successfully built and tested a drone.

Burkatullah Akbari and Ahmad Shuja Akbari, two enterprising individuals from the Nijrab district of Kapisa, have constructed the drone using their own funds.

Both students at the Afghan Institute of Technology, they proudly revealed to Salam Watandar that their drone boasts a flight capability of up to two kilometers.

With a total expenditure of 25,000 Afghanis, they have managed to achieve this remarkable feat.

The duo individuals emphasized that with adequate support, they could develop drones with even greater capabilities, potentially contributing significantly to technological advancements in the region.
