Islamic Emirate CI minister invites Iranian companies to invest in Afghanistan

MONITORING (SW) – The Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Islamic Emirate announced that Acting Minister, Nooruddin Azizi met with the Iranian ambassador to Russia on the sidelines of the Kazan Forum, Tatarstan.

On Friday, the ministry reported on its official X account that Azizi held discussions with Kazem Jalali, the Iranian ambassador to Moscow, Dawod Mirzakhani, the Iranian consul general in Kazan, and several participating Iranian companies at the trade exhibition in Kazan forum.

During the meeting, they emphasized enhancing trade and economic relations between the two countries, discussing transit routes, 24-hour operations at Afghan and Iranian ports, and the trade balance between the two nations.

Azizi has invited Iranian companies to invest in Afghanistan, highlighting “the country’s substantial natural resources and young workforce as significant opportunities for investment”.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry noted that by the end of the meeting, the Iranian companies expressed their interest in investing in Afghanistan.
