FIROZKOH (SW) – The Islamic Emirate Ministry of Defense has confirmed the crash of a military helicopter in Ghor province, resulting in one death and 12 injuries.
On Wednesday morning, an MI-17 helicopter crashed during an emergency landing in Firozkoh, the capital of Ghor, due to technical issues.
According to a statement released on the ministry’s X official account, the helicopter was dispatched to retrieve the bodies of passengers from a “Flancoach” type car that had drowned in the Harirud River two nights prior.
The Ministry of Defense has not provided any information regarding the identities of the victims involved in the incident.
