NILI CITY, DAYKUNDI (SW) – The local Radio “Nasim” in Daykundi province, located in the central part of Afghanistan, which was shut down more than five months ago by the de-facto government of the Islamic Emirate, resumed its broadcasts on Saturday.
Seyed Mustafa Saleh, the head of Information and Culture of Daykundi, tells Salam Watandar that Radio Nasim has resumed its broadcasts based on the decision of the Ministry of Information and Culture, and the local officials of the province, taking the commitment today, March. 2.
He adds that this radio network was closed in September. 27. by the Directorate of Information and Culture of Daikundi with the cooperation of security institutions after several violations of the laws of the Islamic Emirate and illegal broadcasts.
Saleh emphasizes that the former director of this media was sentenced to one year in prison on charges such as propaganda against the regime and cooperation with external media, and is currently in prison.
Meanwhile, Saifullah Rezaie, the head of Radio Nasim, also confirmed to Salam Watandar that the radio was reopened by the authorities and started to operate.
Rezaie says that this radio will continue to operate in accordance with the current media laws of Afghanistan.
