KABUL (SW) – Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, Acting Minister of National Defense, and Fasihuddin Fitrat, the de-facto government’s Army Chief of Staff, hold a meeting with Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, the MoND stated.
On Thursday, this ministry wrote on X, saying that during the meeting, the Islamic Emirate and Qatar authorities discussed about the development of relations and various improvements between Afghanistan and Qatar.
“The Emir of Qatar considered Afghanistan a friendly and brotherly country and expressed good intentions,” the statement added.
Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid also expressed his gratitude for Qatar’s cooperation and assured the expansion of relations.
On Sunday, Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid and Fasihuddin Fitrat on an official trip went to Qatar.
