MONITORING (SW) – The war in Gaza entered its 100th day on Sunday with no end to the carnage in sight.
The war has been by far the bloodiest and most destructive episode of fighting between Israelis and Palestinians in the history of their decades-long conflict.
Here’s a look into the toll of the ongoing conflict, compiled from data provided by the Associated Press and sourced from the Palestinian Health Ministry, Israeli officials, as well as international observers and aid groups.

The conflict has resulted in a significant loss of Palestinian lives in Gaza, with at least 23,708 reported casualties. As well as 347 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank.

Israel arrests sisters of Hamas official killed in Beirut: Wafa
Israeli forces have arrested Dalal and Fatima Al-Arouri, the sisters of Saleh Al-Arouri, the senior Hamas official killed in Beirut on January 2, the Wafa news agency is reporting, citing local sources.
The two sisters were among several people arrested during Israeli raids on towns in Ramallah and el-Bireh in the occupied West Bank that took place at dawn on Sunday, Wafa added.
In a video verified by Al Jazeera, the son of one of the two sisters said that Israeli forces who entered his home to arrest his mother, assaulted him and vandalised the house, as well as confiscating photographs of his uncle, Saleh Al-Arouri.
Hundreds of thousands join rallies calling for end to war
Hundreds of thousands of people around the world took to the streets on Saturday to demand an end to Israel’s war in Gaza as the conflict approached the 100-day mark.
The global day of action saw demonstrations take place in various international capitals, including Washington, DC, London, Paris, Berlin, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur.
