Traffic incident in Nimruz claims three lives, injures 43

NIMRUZ (SW) – A traffic incident in Nimruz has claimed three lives and injured 43 people, according to officials.

They add that the incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, on the way to the Delaram district of Nimruz.

Sardar Mohammad Rahimi, the director of traffic accidents at Nimruz Traffic Management, told Salam Watandar that the incident occurred in the Minar area on the Zaranj-Delaram highway. Multiple vehicles, including ‘404’ and ‘580’ models, along with two high-speed cars from the ‘Khavar’ institute, collided simultaneously.

He adds that three people have died, and 43 others were injured in this incident.

The wounded have been transferred to different provinces for treatment, and officials report that their condition is stable.

The recklessness and inattention of drivers remain key factors contributing to such incidents occurring periodically.
