SHARANA (SW) – The officials of Paktika Department of Education say that the building of a school in this province has been put into operation at the cost of 16.5 million afghanis.
Abdul Qayyum, the director of education in Paktika, told Salam Watandar that this building was built for the “Haji Payindi” school in the city of Sharana, the capital of this province.
According to him, four acres of land were donated by the residents of Paktika for the construction of this school building, and the work of its construction has been completed by the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan.
The head of education in Paktika adds that Japan has also promised to build 14 schools in 14 districts of this province.
The building built for “Haji Payindi” school has eight classrooms, four office rooms, an open area, separate toilets for boys and girls and access to clean water.
It should be mentioned that until now, some schools in some districts of Paktika do not have buildings and the residents of this province want the caretaker government to build buildings for schools.
