Islamic Emirate rejects remarks by Sharif

KABUL (SW) – The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has rejected remarks by prime minister of Pakistan about a latest suicide bombing in Bajaur district claimed by the so-called Islamic State.

Prime minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, while visiting the injured in the Bajaur blast, said that armed groups against the government of Pakistan have safe havens in Afghanistan and organize their attacks from there.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate told Salam Watandar that Pakistan shall not link all its internal issues to Afghanistan and according to him, the caretaker government of the Islamic Emirate does not allow anyone to attack other countries from Afghan territory.

He said: “In this regard, I must say that all issues should not be linked to Afghanistan, and the position of the Islamic Emirate is also clear in this regard, and we have closely shared this with them.”

Sharif had also expressed concern about the involvement of Afghan citizens in the attack in this country four days ago and requested the caretaker government of the Islamic Emirate not to allow anyone to use Afghan soil against Pakistan.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate said in this regard that Afghanistan does not allow its territory to be used against other nations, especially Pakistan, and does not allow any hideout to be built here.

In addition, Pakistan’s foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also claimed that Afghanistan’s caretaker government does not have a permanent forces for border management, due to which problems have arisen in the fight against terrorism. He added that Pakistan is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in this regard.

However, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate responded to his comments and said to Salam Watandar: “The Islamic Emirate has managed to bring peace to Afghanistan and control its borders. Pakistan’s problem lies within this country, because there are areas near the Durand Line. They are covered by forests and are high, which can be easily used, and it is not related to us, it is related to them and they should take action.”
