KABUL (SW) – Officials at the National Development Corporation say that 89 development projects were completed and put into operation last year.
These projects include the construction of mosques, recitation halls, sports halls, dormitories for universities, and the construction of a special hospital for those suffering from covid-19.
Riazuddin Sharifi, deputy director at the NDC, said: “In the past year, the National Development Corporation completed 89 projects in the fields of development, which include mosques, fatiha recitation halls, gymnasiums, dormitories for universities, computer labs for schools, corona hospitals and the completion of the salt water canal in Takhar province have been completed and put into operation.”
Officials at the National Development Corporation added that they have 1,131 projects in hand, of which 600 projects have been stopped due to lack of funds. They emphasized that they are working on 21 projects this year, most of which may be completed and commissioned by the end of this year.
Abdullah Ahmadzai, head of construction of the National Development Corporation, said: “We have 1131 projects on hand, including 600 projects that have been stopped due to lack of funds, and the National Development Corporation is working on more projects that have more revenue.”
It should be mentioned that the officials in the National Development Corporation also said that the work on the first phase of the Qosh Tapa agricultural water canal, which is planned in three phases, is going on rapidly.
