Delawar promises to stop child labor in coal mines

BAGHLAN (SW) – Shahabuddin Delawar, acting minister of mines and petroleum, has said work permits have been formulated for 14 mines in Baghlan for the standardization of coal mining.

Mr. Delawar made these statements on Sunday during his trip to Baghlan. Acting minister of mines and petroleum added that from now on, coal extraction will be carried out in a standardized way with advanced equipment.

Shahabuddin Delawar, referring to child miners, said that from now on, no child will work in the mines, and if children are seen in the mines, the work of the mines will be stopped and the offender will be punished.

Acting minister of mines and petroleum emphasized that more than 10,000 people are currently working in the mines of the country, and with the extraction of more mines, the construction work and infrastructure projects in the country will increase several times.
