TALUQAN (SW) – Local sources in Takhar told Salam Watandar that 17 people died and five others were injured as a result of a pickup truck overturning in this province.
According to the sources, this incident took place early on Wednesday in “Anjir Qashlaq” village of Chahab district of Takhar.
The sources added that all the occupants of this car were workers and they were moving towards Chahab “Nurabe Semati” mine for gold particles washing duty.
Meanwhile, the security officials of Takhar, confirming this incident, said that as a result of this incident, 10 people died and eight people were injured.
Abdul Mobin Safi, head of media and public relations department of Takhar Security Command, said that the condition of five of the wounded is serious and three are slightly injured.
He added that five seriously injured people from this incident have been taken to Kunduz regional hospital for treatment.
