MAZAR-E-SHARIF (SW) – Officials in the Balkh Security Command have confirmed that Mohammad Dawood Muzamal, the governor of this province, was killed as a result of an explosion in his office.
Mohammad Asif Waziri, the spokesman of the Balkh Security Command, says that the explosion occurred before dawn on Thursday, during an administrative meeting inside the provincial government’s administration compound.
The spokesperson of the Balkh Security Command, however, did not say anything about the exact number of casualties in this explosion.
No person or group has yet claimed responsibility for this explosion.
