KABUL (SW) – The Islamic Emirate’s deputy spokesman, Bilal Karimi has rejected the allegations levelled by Pakistani authorities about terrorists’ bastions in Afghanistan.

The anti-terrorism agency of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has claimed that the suicide attack on soldiers in this province was planned in Afghanistan. After a suicide attack on Pakistani soldiers in South Waziristan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa last Thursday, the provincial anti-terrorism agency claimed that the suicide bomber was a resident of Afghanistan and the attack was planned there.

In conversation with Salam Watandar, Karimi denied the claim of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa counter-terrorism agency. He added that Afghanistan is no longer a threat to any country and will not allow anyone to threaten others from the territory of Afghanistan.

“The position of the Islamic Emirate is clear and the way it wants security, peace and stability in its country, it also wants security and peace in the countries of the region”, he said.

He added the Islamic Emirate does not want to interfere in Pakistan’s internal affairs.

“As a whole, we assure that there is no threat from the territory of Afghanistan and there are no evidences and documents about the claims made”.

Meanwhile, Shamshad Aziz Kazmi, an analyst on national security issues, has said that such claims of Pakistan mean to put pressure on the Islamic Emirate. According to him, after the Islamic Emirate came to power, armed groups have strengthened in the region, especially in Pakistan.

“The tactics of the Pakistani Taliban against Islamabad are similar to those used by the Islamic Emirate against Kabul. They are trying to put pressure on the Islamic Emirate, the groups that are a threat to Pakistan, either bring them to the negotiating table or arrest them and imprison them.”

On the other hand, Mahmoud Aztrabi, a university lecturer and political analyst, said that the militants who are now fighting against this country in Pakistan are the former friends of the Pakistani government and groups created by Pakistan.

“Pakistan has enemies inside who were their friends before. You see the Balochs who want independence and the TTP on the other hand is getting stronger with each passing day. If this situation continues, the partition of Pakistan is inevitable.”
