Blast in Kabul hurts two civilians, says police spokesman

KABUL (SW) – A blast in downtown Kabul has injured two civilians, confirmed an official on Saturday.

Khalid Zadran, the spokesman of the Kabul Security Command, said that around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, an explosion occurred in front of the Pashtunistan square, in the second security area of Kabul city.

According to the spokesperson of the Kabul Security Command, in this incident, a civilian’s Hilux car was targeted by a magnetic mine explosion.

Khaled Zadran added that as a result of this explosion, two civilians were injured. He said that the security forces are investigating the explosion.

Earlier, sources told Salam Watandar that they heard an explosion in the Pashtunistan square area of Kabul city. Sources added that the explosion occurred around 6:20 PM.

No person or group has yet claimed responsibility for this explosion.
