Iranian envoy meets Mutaqqi in Kabul

KABUL (SW) – Iran’s special representative and ambassador for Afghanistan, Hassan Kazmi Qomi, has met with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amir Khan Muttaqi, for the second time in a week.

Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry, Zia Ahmad Takal, noted on his Twitter page that the Islamic Emirate’s spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid and several officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also present in the meeting.

It is worth noting that Iran’s special representative in Afghanistan, Hassan Kazmi Qomi, has recently been appointed as the country’s new ambassador in Kabul, and he met Amir Khan Muttaqi a few days ago.

During the previous meeting with Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Iranian official requested for its rights for water from the Helmand River.

In addition to this, the new ambassador of Iran suggested that Afghanistan’s water should be properly managed and its loss should be prevented.
