Analysts call for dialogue, not confrontation with international community

KABUL (SW) – A sen senior Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan official has criticized the top US diplomat for Kabul for her recent comments.

Karen Decker, the charge d’affaires of the US Embassy in Afghanistan, had recently criticized the Islamic Emirate in connection with the ban on university education for girls and ban on female workers in the non-government organisations.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, in response to Ms. Decker’s criticism of the current government, said that he does not allow irresponsible words to others under the name of humanitarian aid and called such comments against the Islamic Emirate as interference in internal affairs.

“American officials should not interfere in the internal affairs of our country. Institutions operating in Afghanistan are obliged to comply with the laws and orders of our country. We will not allow anyone to make irresponsible words or make threats about decisions or officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan under the title of humanitarian aid”, he tweeted.

Political analyst Aziz Meraj told Salam Watandar in this regard that if the current government considers ban on girls and women as interference in internal affairs, it means that it is distancing itself from the international community.

Analysts do not consider the tension and confrontation of the Islamic Emirate with the world in the current situation to benefit the country and the people, and they insist that the Islamic Emirate should take steps based on international principles to solve the challenges.

According to them, the continuation of confrontation between the Islamic Emirate and the world can at least close the gates of hope for global cooperation that Afghanistan needs in various sectors.

Ajmal Zarmati, another expert on political issues, said that after forty years of war, the country is now facing an economic crisis, drought, corona crisis and other calamities. “In such a situation, we are forced to pass in some cases and take the way of interaction with the world”.

Experts believe that instead of going for confrontation with the world about women’s work and education, the Islamic Emirate should pay attention to the people’s wishes in this regard.

Tariq Farhadi, analyst on political issues, said that the members of the Islamic Emirate who are against these decisions should make it clear and make a new move. “In that case, maybe they will get the support of the people, and if not, the people will be against them.”

It should be noted that despite the many demands that the international community has made in the direction of accepting women’s rights from the Islamic Emirate, the government has not shown flexibility to accept any of these demands.
