KABUL (SW) – Qatar’s cooperation with Afghanistan is unforgettable, said Amir Khan Mutaqqi while meeting Doha’s envoy to Kabul.
Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the caretaker government of the Islamic Emirate, said in a series of tweets that Saeed bin Mubarak Al-Khyareen, the ambassador of Qatar to Afghanistan, met with Amir Khan Mutaqqi, the acting minister of foreign affairs.
According to Mr. Balkhi, in this meeting, Qatar’s ambassador to Afghanistan said that they plan to open an office of the Qatar aid organisation in Afghanistan and will do this with the approval of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and in this way, provide the necessary assistance to the needy.
Qatar’s ambassador to Afghanistan added that his country wants to further strengthen relations with Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, in this meeting, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude for Qatar’s cooperation and assured full cooperation for the activities of Qatar’s charitable organisations.
Amir Khan Mutaqqi has expressed his views on the distribution of the aforementioned aid and has assured cooperation in this matter. Mr. Mutaqqi also called Qatar’s cooperation with Afghanistan unforgettable.
