MONITORING (SW) – Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special representative for Afghanistan, said in an interview with TASS news agency that representatives of the Islamic Emirate will not participate in the Moscow consultative meeting on Afghanistan.
Mr. Kabulov said: “The delegation of the Islamic Emirate will not participate [in the meeting].”
The news agency wrote that the Moscow format consultative meeting on Afghanistan is scheduled to be held in the middle of November.
Representatives of Russia, China, India, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will attend this meeting.
The previous meeting of the Moscow format was held on October 20 last year. A delegation from the Islamic Emirate headed by Abdulsalam Hanafi, the second deputy prime minister, was present at that meeting.
