KABUL (SW) – Analysts believe the Islamic Emirate missed the chance of mending ties with the international community by not accepting a number of demands by the outer world.
In addition to the non-recognition of the caretaker government of the Islamic Emirate by the international community, Afghanistan has been repeatedly feeling isolation at the international level for more than a year.
The lack of representation at the United Nations General Assembly and the non-extension of the travel exemption of the leaders of the Islamic Emirate government by the United Nations Security Council are important issues that, according to experts, indicate the political isolation.
Just recently, Nikolai Patrushev, the secretary of the Russian National Security Council, called the Islamic Emirate “a handiwork of America” as the Russian government confirmed the non-participation of representatives of the Islamic Emirate government in the Moscow meeting that is scheduled to be held in the middle of November about Afghanistan.
At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the caretaker government has responded to this issue by saying that the non-participation of a representative of the Afghan government in such meetings can have a negative impact on the interaction.
On the other hand, a number of experts in political issues believe that the Islamic Emirate’s failure to consider global demands has soured relations with some countries in the region and the world.
Tariq Farhadi, an expert on political issues, said in this regard the Islamic Emirate has actually strained its relations with the whole world, because they did not listen to the advice and what the neighboring countries are saying. “They only say that we are the way we are, and we should be recognized.”
Homayoun Khairi, another expert on political issues, stated that the internal policies of the current government, the imposition of restrictions on women and the failure to form an inclusive government in the country, are among the main reasons for the isolation of the Islamic Emirate government.
Mr. Khairi said that the hidden and close relations of the Islamic Emirate with the United States have also disappointed the countries of the region, especially Russia and China, who had relatively good relations with the current government of Afghanistan.
In an interview with Salam Watandar Radio, he said not only Russia, but other countries also beleive that the Islamic Emirate works in the interest of the US. “This caused the isolation of the Islamic Emirate”.
It should be mentioned that the caretaker government of the Islamic Emirate, after returning to power, has repeatedly claimed that it has completed the conditions for recognition, but no country in the world has recognized this government so far.
