Road accidents claim nine lives in Daikundi

NILI (SW) – Daikundi local authorities say that nine people, including a girl, died and 13 others were injured in two separate traffic incidents in Miramor district and Nili city, the capital of this province.

Gholam Ali Javed, the spokesman of the Daikandi Security Command, told Salam Watandar that the first incident occurred at around 2:40 a.m. after dawn today, when a minibus with 18 passengers from Oshto village of Miramor district deviated from the road and overturned.

According to the spokesperson of the Daikendi security command, as a result of this incident, nine people, including a 12-year-old girl, died and nine others were injured.

The spokesperson of the Daikendi Security Command added that in the second incident, which occurred after dawn today after a minibus overturned in the “Band Remegek” area of ​​Nili City, four people were injured.

Gholam Ali Javed stated that the reason for these traffic incidents is the poor and narrow roads and the carelessness of the drivers.
