FAIZABAD (SW) – At least 38 ‘rebels’ including two of their commanders have been killed in Badakhshan, said an Islamic Emirate official.
The Bakhtar state-run news agency cite Moezuddin Ahmadi, the head of information and culture of Badakhshan, saying that during the operation by the forces of the Islamic Emirate in the last week in this province, “38 rebels, including their two senior commanders Bahruddin and Abdul Hamid” were killed in different parts of Badakhshan.
The authorities of the Islamic Emirate use the term “rebels” for their opponents, especially the members of the “National Resistance Front”.
Bakhtar, quoting the head of information and culture of Badakhshan, reported that during this operation of the Islamic Emirate forces, 78 more people were arrested.
The head of information and culture of Badakhshan added that during this operation, three soldiers of the Islamic Emirate were also killed and five others were wounded.
Moezuddin Ahmadi has emphasized that this operation ended with the destruction of “the last nest of the rebels”.
The officials of the National Resistance Front have not said anything about this yet.
